Fairy tail Anime is good but if your gonna continue with fairy tail the manga is a must. Like the Laxus V.S Jura during the GMG arc is much better in the manga and made as a big event the anime gives it little fan fair and almost no send off. Not just that though the fights seem underwhelming at times when the manga makes them look amazing. Hell i would read random things about it on the internet and couldn't understand why people shipped Lucy and Natsu until i read the manga(Turns out the first animes director was a huge lissana fan so he downplayed Natsu and Lucys friendship and gave Natsu and Lissana a love interest backstory). It seemed as if they only hung out together to work and little more while in the Manga it's made apparent they are best friends. The biggest thing though is Natsus and Lucys friendship in the first anime it felt as if they were barely friends let alone best friends. Though i do suggest if your gonna watch/read fairy tail that you do read the manga from the start as the original anime tended to do things weirdly. Though to be honest it's not until the tenrou island arc where it feels like it's starts to get into the story i guess as much of the story before while good does nothing to progess the story other then add characters so it feels like one long prologue.
hell the series as a whole feels much better at the phantom lord arc. Once you get to the phantom lord arc it gets better quality. >!text goes in here!< text goes in here Social Media
